Band Bio
To quote the RHPS: It's like orange juice........ it's like everything you've ever known that was good for you. Combining an infectious blend of late 70's era Classic Rock ala Kiss, Aerosmith, & The Who, and heavy 80's arena rock influences like U2, Motley Crue, & Cheap Trick, Hair Metal attitude via Poison & Warrant with some elements of early David Bowie, Duran Duran and other 80's pop stuff along with 90's indie rock like Weezer & fountains of Wayne and you've got The Cartoon Factory. The CF play tunes so infectious they could start an epidemic! Having sold discs in 8 countries and most of the United States and recieved independent and internet radio airplay around the world, the band presents a sound that's accessible and familiar yet still fresh and unique. The CF is poised for a breakout. You can dance if you want to...(but that's another story) Come join the party!
Chuck Chapman - Vocals, Guitar
Chuck comes from a musical family, his father having played with country music legends Stonewall Jackson and the Louvin Bros in the 1950's. Chuck started playing drums and singing in his parents southern gospel quartet at the age of 7.
The rock n' roll bug bit when he discovered KISS and The Beatles. He has sang in rock bands since he was 15, picking up the guitar in 1990 to form The Delilahs, one of the Southeast's busiest and most popular bands thru the mid 90's.
Chuck has toured with and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music business including: Peter Frampton, The Hooters, Molly Hatchet, Danger Danger, Steve Morse, Loverboy, Blue Oyster Cult, The Outlaws, and more! He also has performed for crowds of 1000's at music festivals across the Southeastern US, including Greenville, SC's HyattFest & Downtown Alive, Spartanburg, SC's Spring Fling, Underground Atlanta's New Years Eve, and Asheville, NC's Bele Chere Festival among others.
After The Delilahs disbanded in 1997, Chuck formed the Cartoon Factory in 2000. Chuck lists KISS, Poison, Cheap Trick, Bay City Rollers and The Beatles as his main musical influences along with underground bands like Redd Kross, The Rainmakers & The Refreshments also having major impacts.
His energetic and sincere stage persona both engages and amuses audiences and makes them feel like participants, not just spectators whether performing for large street festivals or small local venues.

Joseph "The Animal" Tanay - Drums & Percussion
Joseph got his first drum set when he was 8 years old. That lasted about 2 minutes (something about drums being to loud in the house). He went onto playing the saxaphone for a few years and at the age of 12 started taking lessons from teaching and drumming great Charlie Tappan.
Growing up in Edison N.J. in the mid 70's early 80's, Joseph was heavily influenced by watching some of the locals making it big (Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny, Twisted sister Bon jovi, Skid Row, etc). Listening to these great acts made him realize the importance of the sound man. A bad sound man can make even a great band sound bad, so Joseph enrolled in an audio engineering institue and became a member of the Audio Engineering Society. Before long he was working for a sound company doing live shows for acts that included Roger McGwinn (The Byrds) and Richie Havens (opening act at Woodstock!) Other opportunities included working with Roy Orbison's musical director, lots of studio work and even worked on a Budweiser commercial in Miami. His Audio Engineering work gave him the opportunity to rub elbows with some very cool people.
Even though Joseph's musical talents are quite diverse, his true passion is still the Drums and that's what brought him to the Cartoon Factory!
Bobby Nipper - Lead Guitar-Vocals
Bobby got his first guitar at the age of 3, and has never looked back. Long before he had his first guitar lesson, he carried a guitar around constantly and refused to put it down. He started playing in cover bands when he was about 15, and his world really changed when he heard his first Van Halen song. A self-professed “hair metal freak”, Bobby brings his own unique guitar style to the CF original tunes while nailing the solos on the cover songs. Before joining The Cartoon Factory, he played in a Greenville based band which mostly covered songs from the 80’s and 90’s.
